The Make Ready team successfully onboarded its 10th Ambulance Superstation in March when the new Randwick station opened its doors.

Make Ready Operations Manager Jarrad Stewart-Nikolic said the team had provided deep cleaning services to 15 Ambulance vehicles as part of the opening.

“We are now ensuring all paramedics operating out of the Randwick Superstation have clean, adequately stocked and operationally sound vehicles for every shift,” Jarrad said.

“Enhancing patient safety means equipping and preparing our paramedics so they have more time to focus on people and clinical services.”

The Make Ready Service, part of Employee and Financial Shared Services, operates out of metropolitan Ambulance Superstations. HealthShare NSW developed the service in collaboration with NSW Ambulance to remove the non-clinical aspects of ambulance preparation and maintenance from paramedics, so that they can focus on patient care.

“The Make Ready Service has revolutionised the way we prepare ambulance fleets and resources in the metropolitan area.

The team provides various services including, daily cleans, deep and infection control cleans, ambulance inventory management, restocking and quality checking consumables and medical kits and coordinating repairs to vehicles and equipment.

This partnership with NSW Ambulance truly demonstrates how our services can improve our customers’ experience and directly enhance patient care,” said Jarrad.
