“It gives me great pride the team at the Dubbo Distribution Centre has achieved this great result through their commitment to working safely at all times,” said Assistant Manager of Fleet and Logistics, David Small.
“While safety is consistently promoted amongst the team in their everyday work through meetings, toolbox talks, safety inspections and general observations, it’s really a personal responsibility to ensure all this learned knowledge is applied in the workplace in everyday activities,” he continued.
Manager of Linen Services Kevin Prasad is hoping to visit the Dubbo team soon to celebrate this exceptional milestone.
“Our staff work with heavy transport and numerous loading and unloading movements each day, while travelling some of the worst roads in NSW. To achieve this result is a testament to our workplace culture and safety focus. This needs to be celebrated!” he said.
David Small also attributes this success to the tireless efforts of the HealthShare NSW Safety Business Partners who are positive drivers of change and safe workplace behaviours.
“The WH&S Team and Business Partners are vital in our line of work. Not only do they help promote safe workplaces, they put staff safety at the forefront of everything they do and this in turn means staff continue to go home injury free.”
“Another important element is the HealthShare NSW Strategy which focuses heavily on people and keeping them safe in the workplace. This important document not only sets the vision for a safe and healthy workplace, it also gives staff the confidence to know that safety is everyone’s responsibility no matter your line of work,” said David.
A huge congratulations to our Linen Services team on this fantastic achievement!
