Partnering for patients
Our role in the patient's journey
Every patient's experience is supported by our people working behind the scenes.
Take Fiona, for example. After a serious accident, her journey is made safer and smoother by our services, from a stocked ambulance and a clean hospital room to nutritious meals, fresh linen, safe transport home, and even the equipment and financial support she needs for recovery.
It's one story, showing how our work supports thousands of patients every day across NSW.
An ambulance arrives on the scene of a vehicle accident. A driver, Fiona, has been seriously injured.

The ambulance is clean and well stocked with medical products needed for Fiona’s care thanks to our Make Ready Service.

Our cleaning staff prepare Fiona’s hospital room, meeting strict clinical hygiene standards for a safe and comfortable stay.

Fiona’s bed is made with comfortable, clean linen which has been freshly laundered and delivered on time by our Linen Services and dock teams.

Our procurement team helps keep the hospital stocked with surgical and medical products to support Fiona’s care.

Our Food Services team take Fiona’s meal order, taking into account her special dietary requirements.

From the kitchen, our Food Services team prepare Fiona’s meal, and deliver it with care.

Our EnableNSW team works with Fiona’s care team to arrange a wheelchair to support her mobility needs when she leaves hospital.

Our Employee and Financial Shared Services team keeps the hospital running by paying hospital staff and the suppliers of critical health care products.

Our Patient Transport Service is booked to take Fiona home and help her inside.

Fiona’s wheelchair arrives at her home, ensuring she can live safely and comfortably as her recovery continues.

EnableNSW provides financial assistance for Fiona’s long-distance travel to and from medical appointments and her accommodation while she’s there.

At the rehabilitation clinic, Fiona is fitted for a prosthetic limb by our prosthetists and funded through EnableNSW.
