CBORD patient app instructions

Open the app to view the login screen.

Login screen

Existing account holders

If you already have an account, login by entering your email and password then click login.

Create an account

  1. If you are a first time user select Create an Account
  2. Then select either Patient or Family or Friend. Parents or carers ordering for Paediatric Patients need to select Family or Friend if the patient is under 13 years of age.
  3. Tick “I am at least 13 years of age”. Click Next
  4. Enter your Hospital Facility ID. Select Next
  5. Enter the patient’s date of birth and Medical Record Number (MRN)

  6. The next screen will prompt you to create an account - this is not mandatory. You can choose Skip in the right hand corner to miss this step.

Place an order

You can now place an order during the mealtime window. You can view all meals on the app and choose what you would like to eat for each meal.

The app offers menu items that suit your current diet. If you need help using the app, please let your Dietitian Assistant or Food Service Assistant know.

  1. Select the day you want to order for example Today.
    • The green dot on the right hand side of meal indicates the current meal.
    • Meals ended are greyed out and meal selections are not able to be made

  2. Select the meal that you would like to order
    • For example Select Lunch and then select Categories.
    • Select your preferred item and Add to Order.

  3. Continue to select Categories to add additional menu items to meal. Selecting Remove deletes the item from selections so another can be selected. Continue to select Categories at the top of screen to complete meal selections.
  4. When order is complete select Order Summary
    • Review order then select then Place Order
    • There is the option at this point to delete menu items and change quantities.
    • Select Done to return to the Meals Screen

  5. Scroll down to select your next meal.

Cancelling orders

Orders can be cancelled and reordered as long as;

  1. the cut off time (latest print time) for the meal has not past, and
  2. the tray ticket has not been printed for that meal

To cancel an order, select Cancel Order, then Yes, Cancel Order to confirm.

You can then select Done to return to the Meals screen to start your order again.

Are you a carer?

A) Order for your child or loved one

To order a meal on behalf of a child or adult patient:

  1. Select Family or Friend and tick the box “I am at least 13 years of age”
    Note: use the patient’s Medical Record Number (MRN) or their Area Unique Identifier (AUID) number and their date of birth.

  2. Then follow steps to complete their meal order.

B) Order for yourself

To order a meal for yourself:

  1. Check you have been approved by nursing staff to receive a carers meal
  2. Once you have completed the patient’s order as above, you will be given the opportunity to select ‘Start New Order’
  3. Then choose items for your own meal

Note: the ‘Categories’ tab at the top right hand of the screen will allow you to see the full menu available.

C) Order for yourself if your child or loved one is not eating.

To order a meal for yourself if your loved one is ‘nil by mouth’ (i.e. patient may be fasting, receiving alternative nutrition, or breastfed):

  1. Check you have been approved by nursing staff to receive a carers meal
  2. Select Family or Friend and tick the box “I am at least 13 years of age”

    Note: use the patient’s medical record number (MRN) and their date of birth.

  3. You will then see a message that you aren’t eligible to order due to diet.
  4. Go to the top right hand corner of the screen and click on the patient’s name. A drop down will appear – select ‘carer’ under ‘Switch to another person’.

  5. Place your order.
