Applying for an internship with us

About the internship program
HealthShare NSW's annual internship program provides university students with paid, part-time work for a period of up to 12 months.
The program gives you the opportunity to get work experience in the government sector whilst you’re still studying.
You’ll experience working across a range of different business lines which might include Workforce, Business Performance, Employee & Financial Shared Services and Patient Transport Service.
We’ll provide you with the tools, learning, flexibility and inclusive culture to have a truly exceptional experience.
If you’re an intern with us you’ll take part in three specialised development workshops which cover an introduction to the NSW government, career development and communication skills. We’ll also provide you with mentoring opportunities.
We are looking for eager learners with a great work ethic and a commitment to their own professional development. Below are some of the areas our interns can make a big contribution to our organisation:
- Project management
- Communications
- Information technologies
- Analytics
- Business
- People and culture
The internship program offers a fun and rewarding experience that will accelerate your personal and professional development, providing you a platform to fulfil your goals. We want to challenge you – you can expect to contribute from day one and make an impact in the NSW community.
Application process
To apply for the program you will need to provide your resume and answer some targeted questions. If you are selected for the next stage of the process you will complete a group assessment activity. The final stage, if you progress, is an individual interview.
