With many of us working from home or wearing masks and physical distancing on the frontline, it’s natural to feel a little bit isolated. So this year, R U OK?Day was all about staying connected.

To celebrate, HealthShare NSW held a photo competition and asked staff to send in photos that show how they are staying connected with each other, with family and with friends during this challenging time.

A big congratulations to photo competition winner Dianne Hughes, Site Supervisor at Holbrook Hospital Food and Patient Support Services! Dianne’s team stayed connected by ‘painting’ the hospital yellow.

“Due to (COVID-19) restrictions, we couldn’t have a morning tea, so we hung R U OK? banners around the hospital and made emoji stickers that people could take off the wall and wear depending on how they were feeling,” said Dianne.

“It was a lot fun and by the end of the day people had several yellow emojis stuck to them.”

Thank you to everyone who got involved and to those who sent their photos in.

Please remember that every day is the day to ask, “Are you OK?”.
