Artist captures an extraordinary year

Last year, Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) partnered with renowned Sydney artist Simon Fieldhouse to document key moments of their COVID-19 response. Fieldhouse produced a series of artworks in real-time as the pandemic unfolded throughout 2020. In March 2021, these artworks were unveiled at a special exhibition; ‘An Extraordinary Year’.
The artworks illustrate a number of areas of the COVID-19 response, including COVID-19 wards, drive-through clinics and the airport operation, which features a PTS crew and vehicle.
The artworks highlight the important role that all the different agencies played in the operation, so it is no surprise the dedicated team working in the PTS Airport Hotel Quarantine Operation have been featured.
