The Power of Connection HealthShare NSW and eHealth Expo 2017
9 August 2017
The 2017 HealthShare NSW and eHealth Expo was the most successful to-date with almost 2000 delegates attending this years’ event at Rosehill Gardens.
The Expo highlighted the very latest innovations in shared service delivery and cutting-edge programs supporting the 150,000 people working across the NSW Health system.
Senior management and clinical staff from NSW Health and Local Health Districts, and HealthShare NSW and eHealth NSW vendors and staff were in attendance to hear from an impressive line-up of presenters.
The Power of Connection was the theme of the 2017 Expo which celebrated the importance of connection within both the HealthShare NSW and eHealth NSW organisations, as well as the connections with customers and vendors and with the broader health community.
Award winning journalist and reporter Natarsha Belling was Master of Ceremonies. Keynote speaker and inspirational author and comedian, Anh Do spoke about the importance of appreciation and giving back to the community.
Biomedical engineer and leading inventor, Dr Jordan Nguyen, spoke about his work in harnessing the power of virtual and augmented reality to create leading edge solutions in the disability space.
Human rights and disability advocate Graham Innes AM spoke about the importance of organisational change and creating a culture in the workplace where curiosity is viewed positively rather than challenged.
“Each year the HealthShare NSW and eHealth NSW Expo offers a chance to ask ourselves how will we best face the future and what new concepts are in store? And this, in turn, leads to even greater opportunities to collaborate, to innovate and to connect,” said Susan Pearce, Adjunct Associate Professor, Deputy Secretary, System Purchasing and Performances, NSW Ministry of Health.
Since its inception in 2009, the HealthShare NSW and eHealth NSW Expo has grown year-on-year thanks to the calibre of presenters and exhibitors. Information about sponsorship opportunities for the 2018 expo will be made available early next year.Back to the top of this page
